bread baking.


As autumn rolls in, I start to turn my attention away from summer--from the fresh fruits and veggies, lining the markets, from the warm nights spent dining outside--and towards the warmth of freshly baked goods. On the first day that felt fall-like, I dashed to the store for chocolate chips to spend the evening baking chocolate chip cookies. But after seeing so many bread recipes around the web, I made a goal for myself to tackle the art of bread making in the coming months. This weekend I made my first attempt at bread with this no knead sandwich bread. It's not perfect, but even not so perfect homemade bread tastes better than store-bought. I think I will enjoy the journey to reaching this goal.
