florida (pt.1).

The lush greens and warm golden hues rolling across Kentucky. The mountains of southern Tennessee, the banks of the Tennessee River nestled between, and the sprawling horse ranches of northern Florida. I so wish that we had the time to stop along the way to photograph these beautiful parts of the country. 20 hours in the car, 5 hours of sleep, and 5 more hours to Orlando, however, and we were ready forgo the site seeing.

Once in Orlando we were able to enjoy the most delicious Cuban dinner--along with a sip of cuban coffee-- and a visit to Bubbalou's Bodacious Barbecue near the University of Central Florida campus. I was more than a  little skeptical of traveling all the way from Kansas City to eat barbecue, but after gorging on the brisket, fried okra, collard greens, and mac and cheese, I was a believer.
